CORGI was founded in 1970 to protect the public from the dangers of unsafe gas installations. We are acutely aware that poorly trained tradesmen can give the industry as a whole a bad name and bad experiences can make people extremely wary when it comes to employing someone to install or repair a gas appliance.
If you are having gas work done in your home the person doing the work must be CORGI registered. They must also hold the correct qualifications to do the type of work you need.
OFTEC The Oil
Firing Technical Association registered
technicians are kept up to date with the
latest government legislation and so you
can be confident that any installation
work will be completed legally.
For further
peace of mind OFTEC has a complaints
procedure in place so that, in the
unlikely event you are not satisfied
with the work carried out by an OFTEC
registered technician, you can ask OFTEC
to investigate the matter.
APHC Association of Plumbing and
Heating Contractors - is the leading
Trade Association for the Plumbing and
Central Heating Industry in England and
Wales.
The APHC Licensed Plumber Scheme,
which is mandatory on all members of the
Association, requires member firms to
undergo an annual assessment to ensure
that they are meeting the strict
Business Standards imposed by the
scheme. These standards are designed to
ensure that member firms are
established, reliable businesses, which
employ fully trained staff and have a
commitment to high levels of customer
service. This commitment is reinforced
by members being required to operate an
approved Customer Complaints system.

private sector procurers and provide
them with access to over 14,000 fully

them to fill-in pre-qualification forms
for every tender and provide them with
